Shoots for PBS documentary on Georgia poet

In November 2009, we were asked by Fleming Weaver, project chair of the Reece Historic Interpretive Center (as it was called then) to create a full length high definition television program from a short film produced by Deem Loureiro, Inc. about a little known Georgia poet, Byron Herbert Reece.

We sat down to talk with reknown architect Garland Reynolds, who designed the Reece Farm and Heritage Center currently under construction just north of Vogel State Park off Highway 129 in Georgia. He took us on a virtual tour of the site meant to preserve the legacy of Reece and his family.

We also recorded Dr. John Kay, chair of the Byron Herbert Reece Society, who gave us his thoughts on the farmer/poet.

Post-production will now begin on the Reece documentary. It is intended to air on Georgia Public Broadcasting before the end of the year.
